Apologies for the large photos. That was my first attempt at uploading photos.

I've resized them for you. Good to see it looking like a car again. I wish my Sprint alloys were as nice as your's. I bet they hold pressure better too!

Thanks Toledo man. As I said way back in the beginning I'm not any good with computers. And I spent hours on just those two alloys, but unfortunately not all the alloys are holding air.

Craig I didn't know you lived so close by. You are certainly more than welcome to come by anytime. It would be great to meet another member and car. PM me your number/email and I'll get in touch.
As I said iv been stressing myself over the figment of these panels for ages but its really beginning to look like a car, for the first time in years!!

Cheers guys

Thanks Russell. I have fond memories of driving over to St.Andrews in the sprint years ago with an old girlfriend of mine. Hopefully next year I will do again next year. Not with the same girlfriend, obviously!!

Progress has slowed recently but aim to get it on the road this year.

On this forum we always say there is no such thing as a daft question but I think this might qualify;
When fitting the headlamps, am I correct in saying its only the two outer lamps that should have a bowl fitted? Its been so long since I took these apart that I cant remember!
If that is indeed the case then does the inner headlamp have a mounting ring? I have an old but complete headlight support panel with one bowl, rubber gaskets and adjusters on the outside and a ring with gasket and adjusters on the inside light. I cant remember where I got this from ( it didn't come off my car) so I'm not certain I trust it to be true.

I cant find a part number for this mounting ring and wondered if I would need to buy an extra bowl and trim off the 'bowl' thus leaving just the ring.

Just had a quick look in my parts list and the inner lamp "bowl" is shown as "not sold separately" - but it is, effectively a stock outer bowl with the bowl bit cut off so that's what i'd do, in fact what I will have to do, since one of my inner bowls is also irretrievable!

Thanks carledo!
This weekend I will have a rummage through one of my lockups to see if I still have the remains of the original support panels with the inner mounting ring, failing that I was going to cut a bowl down to fit.
Thanks

I bought a new part from Geoff @ wins, they had metal aim adjuster screw not the plastic ones.

Something I need to have a look at.
My bowls are crunchy nut rusty brown
and religiously holy.

As per mine and probably every other twin headlight Dolomite - there is no room for a full bowl in the inner position, all down to the inner front valance. If you through the inner bowl in my picture you will see the reason why + outer headlight electrical connection require protection for the outside elements (under the front wing) where the inner headlight is in the engine bay little protection required.

Thanks guys, and Paul I see what you mean about the rear inner headlamp clearance. I tried to fit a bowl and it obviously was not going to clear the inner panel.
I had a good rummage through a lock up where I keep a lot of spares and found a bag of headlamps, though I don't know if they all work ( but I'm refitting with halogen conversion anyway ) and 9 egg box grills, a couple of rusting bowls, gaskets, rusty inner mounting brackets and several chrome outer rings.
Also have plastic bowls and rings from the old 1850 I found last year in the breakers yard.
In the garage I also found my original front wing mounted ariel but I'm not sure if I want to drill a hole in my replacement steel wing?
