Quote: Well that's that 100% decided then. Bumperless looks awesome.
Yea, I think Dollys & Tollys look great bumperless. Don't forget to inform your insurers if you do remove them.
Looking great Mart. |

Strangely, it wasn't on the list when I last got a quote, but they will be told along with all the other stuff... |

Wow Martin, haven't checked on this thread in ages and then, just seen the finished product. Love the paint scheme, original and it works really well. Looks as good as it goes now....... |

I bought a new carb balancer so gave the carbs a good tune-up this morning. Left hand side is the rear carb, right is the front. ...after a few adjustments... A view of the Megajolt software... The Sprint is running nicely & seems to accelerate really well. Can't wait for the next track day. |

Nice, You may get better carb flow with some full radius bell mouths . |

Your car has a Belgian lookalike... ...at least from the front that is. http://buzzybeeforum.nl/viewtopic.php?f=112&t=4959 |

Are you planning to bring the beast to any of the Combe track days this year? |

I'm not sure Dan. I guess I will miss the first action day on the 27th. I really should get my ass in gear and get to more track days. |

May I please ask what those bonnet vents are that you have used and where you got them from...?! I have a plan that these would suit perfectly!!! |

Thankyou sir, I really appreciate that. I am thinking of doing a 'summer' bonnet for my Toledo as being a city dweller in the summer is quite daunting when in an old motor!!! Is there a page on here that focuses on you fitting these vents?! |

I had a look but I could only find a couple of pics... Basically you mark around them then offset that line inwards by about 10-12mm. then hold your breathe and cut the holes out. Make sure you mark them out on the underside of the bonnet so that you clear the bracing. |

Cooling-wise, would it be better to fit them nearer the rear edge of the bonnet, so that the cooling air passes through the whole engine bay before exiting? I appreciate that this may not be as aesthetically pleasing, though. Jer |

Yes I believe moving them rearwards would be better. I also read somewhere that having them on the side of the wings is good. Obviously they will need to be ducted somehow. |

The best place for air vents is where the largest pressure difference either sides of the panel. I find this stuff fascinating but have still never done anything practical about testing it, which actually sounds pretty simple and cheap - http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&A=111111 |
