Sounds great, I cannot wait to see some pictures...

What kind of condition is it in? Will it be pressed in to daily service or will it be a 'high days and holidays' car...?!

I hope the collection goes well

Whats the Mileage on it?

You must make sure that the Engine is in good shape before you start using it regularly - especially the botom end.

Look out for grumbling from 2500RPM to 3000RPM along with any knocks.

These engines have a 3 bearing crank and so have very weak bottom ends - this is something you must really be carefull of.

Haynes reccomend that you change the Shells at intervals of 30,000 Miles.
So keep an eye / ear out :boggle:

Will probably be fine...No Need to worry about it!

My 1500HL had 88000 Miles on it when I bought it and is perfectly alright (new shells at 90 000)

Get a picture of the nuts so we can see if they're suitable.

Hi,those wheel nut are similar to rhe ones on my car(with sprint wheels) they are steel replacement for the Sprint nuts. They are shouldered sleeve nuts with a steel washer on them, and they tend to rust like these on here.I have driven my car about 3000 miles over 3 years and havent had any problems, but a photo of one of these nuts would be reassuring, just to be sure!. I will be removing a wheel later today and will post a photo on the dolly facebook page of one of my wheelnuts.Still havent mastered how to put pictures on here. :? .PJB

Upload pictures to an image host such as http://imgur.com/ and then copy and paste the message board link into a post. Simples. :D

](*,) Seems to be my mission in life at the moment....images now resized.

PLEASE [-o< Could ALL users try to upload their images in a smaller size (pretty please), I too want to enjoy reading and looking at these topics without having to spend my time re-sizing images all the time.

Please?
