Hi, Had my project a while now, So thought it about time I put some info on here!

Currently running with a TR7 engine, but just got a Sprint engine to go into it.
Started to do some prep work for the engine swap, but got a bit side tracked! Attacked the driver side sill with a knotted wire wheel. not quite as solid as it looked!..Looks like it will be getting patched for now.

Not sorted any pictures yet but have a couple of videos you might like, if they work!
My first go at videos...

Thanks. Hopefully now fixed. Second one is the better of the two anyway!

Yes, one in the car already. Do also have a spare, condition unknown though! Might pop it on one day, just to see if it works!...

Have decided to have a go at the engine swap soon. Am going to be lifting/ jacking the body up off the sub-frame. Have put an engine in this way in my previous project, so kind of know the ropes...

On starting to prepare to do this yesterday, thought I would remove the exhaust bracket from the gearbox. Got the bottom bolt out then started getting an arm full of gearbox oil ! bolt quickly back in....
Is this normal?

Yes, mine did exactly the same, so I made a new bracket.

Hit it.

OK. Three weeks in to a simple engine swap.
So why do these things always take longer than expected!
Replacement engine/gearbox and subframe in position. but just can't put those rusty suspension arms back on!
wire brush and rust remedy at the ready.
Might also do the bushes while I am there too!

Tour of Kent, in two weeks time. What's the chances of it being back together?
Should I book me a place?...

So four weeks in...Engine now runs!
Hoping it is just an airlock. when I ran it up today, once it was switched off, could hear some boiling going on, followed after a few minutes by the sound of running water. No loss of water externally, so it's water tight..on the outside!

It only cost me £49 of ebay, so interesting to see what troubles it throws at me.

Still got work to do. finish hanging exhaust, reconnect clutch slave to actuation arm, gear leaver, plus a few other bits and bobs.

Well MOT due soon, so took car to work one day this week. Longest journey with this engine, but it is only a 13 mile round trip!
Got there and back in one piece, with no oil or water loss. But was a little more lumpy on the way home. Still thinking its a fueling problem.
Will have to investigate...

Over the winter have also managed to do some repair work to one of the sills. Quite please with the results, except for the fact that a patch that is on another part of the sill now looks untidy! (I didn't do this). Should I pull it off and do a better job? Maybe wait till after the MOT...
