Morning all,

Stuck into the restoration of the above 1975 Toledo and wondered if anyone was aware of the car/used to own it and could let me know any of it's history? From receipts it looks like it has spent most of it's life in Gloucestershire and Kent but wondered if anyone could shed some more light into it's life?

Cheers,

John

Are you going to be documenting the restoration of this car on here? If so, then I'll leave this thread where it is (keep us posted with your progress and don't forget the photos). If it was just a specific question then you should've posted on the "Dolomite related" section.

The best place to start is to send a completed V888 and a fiver to the DVLA for the history of the previous registered keepers. I did this with my Dolomite 1300 and I discovered who the supplying dealer was and that the car still had it's original engine.

Welcome to the forum, by the way.

Thanks for the heads up about the DVLA, didn't realise they offered that service.

Yep, I'll be documenting the restoration, need to take a few pictures of her current state and what's been done already and what more worryingly needs to be done!

Is this the brown one that was owned by a Vicar before Richard Hyde had it and stuck Sprint bits in it?

I remember connecting up the prop to a Sprint diff on it if it is....

Is it still Sprint powered?

Richard is on here very occasionally now.

No, it' a white one with some choice rust patches! Think it's spent most of it's life in the Cheltenham/Gloucester area and think it's been loved and looked after but not for the last few years!
