good news,im back on the road,,,went really good today first run out, needs little fettling, think timing is degree or 2 out,,something to do 2moro
no whines or nasty noises from engine, gearbox or axle, diff is quite,,does need changing for longer legs(better ratio) quite inside so the seals and door trims are good...but its still brown :bluewave:

I've had this poor fuel delivery several times recently and in every case the pump has been perfect (in the case of PSB it was brand new) The problem was furring up of the pickup pipe in the bottom of the tank and seems to be most prevalent when the car has been laid up for a good while. The cure involves draining the tank and then rodding out the pipe Dyno-Rod style. An opened out wire coat hanger is perfect for the job!

If it helps I have this curved arm one, I think it's brand new, however, not sure of the condition but it makes a good slurping noise when operating the arm.

You're more than welcome - hope it does the trick.

Just had a look through to see if I had a spacer for you but no, I do have some more curved arm pumps if that one is no good.

Can I suggest you put a wanted ad in the Wanted Section of the forum, there must be someone who has one for you.

That's a short arm pump and doesnt need a spacer block.

Long arm pumps fitted to some 1850's, TR7's and Sprints need the spacer.

I've never seen a spacer on an ohv, although some have, and that would be a none spacer type if it were on a slant.

Thinking outside the box, you could always go electric and fit one from a Moggie thou.

well,it did have a flat arm pump when i got and it was leaking so i bought new like for like
its starts and runs but under 2000 rpm
looking at fuel pumps, there 2 different ones ,,early engine uses flat arm pump upto dh81000 and later uses curved dh81001,,thinking that this is the problem
electric fuel pump is last last resort
