well,this morning got in brown brum and smelt petrol,,,,tank gone again....minutes later tank is out and hole in the bottom roughly 2mm in size....buggar :(

well anyway,,,,it turn into a big plate that need to weld in,,,chop the bad section out,150mm x 100mm patch plate now welded in
now i have a problem with the outlet threads,,during welding process the brass fitting has gone moody,looks like threads are shot

has anyone got one spare?

got sick and tried of repairing the tank,,bought a alloy 10gallon tank which fits in a cradle which i made,all good now just waiting for fuel gauge to arrive,,new tank has 0-90ohm sender

waiting to go on. monroe radialmatic fronts with -1" springs and monroe gas-matics rears with -1" springs,was set to fit this afternoon but then a discovery pulled up with no brakes,so suspension swap was put on hold,but fingers crossed this week sometime...thanks to sam for the front springs and thanks to madmart(i think it was you) for the rear springs

alternator died yesterday,ign lite came on and didnt go out till put old alternator back on.ign lite now out and battery charging
just took back off and black on all contacts that connect to spinner/brushes,so il clean up later and see if it works
still not fitted the lower`d suspension,but it still look nice and new`ish

just bought browny a present....sprint wheels :D need refurb,all 4 are dated 79...so looking out for a set of sprint wheels nuts 3/8 size

just a new bosch alternator for browny just need to make engine fixing bracket.the bosch is 55amp

the old one had outer winding damage...burnt wiring and massive short,,so scrapt it! dead 65amp....lasted 2.5yrs`ish
