This thread lists the epic Sprint restorations where the cars were restored to standard spec at great expense and effort without any major modifications (there's a separate sticky for modified Dollies). The stories behind these restos or the trials and tribulations over the duration of these threads make them worthy of inclusion.

MikeyB's 1973 Sprint (VA969) This was a nut-and-bolt resto done at great expense (including the SPL treatment) to virtually as-new condition.

Mark Gibson's 1980 Sprint (Operation Orange) which is being rebuilt around a brand new shell. This has also had the SPL treatment and is a nut-and-bolt restoration.

Robert 352's New Zealand Sprint which survived a wall falling on the back of the car due to an earthquake. This was started before the Internet caught on in a big way which made the gathering of parts a challenge.
The ongoing running report can be found HERE

Howard81's 1978 Sprint This car has survived a couple of road traffic collisions which could've resulted in the car being written off. Howard has constantly improved this car over the duration of this thread.

Straylight's Australian Sprint Another nut-and-bolt restoration done at great expense.

Newguy's New Zealand Sprint conversion Another thread with various trials and tribulations along the way.

James467's Carmine Sprint While this isn't an epic resto like the others, it is a nut-and-bolt resto in a similar vein to Mike's and Mark's restos.

If I can think of any more or if you think your's should be included please post a reply and I'll add it.

I would include this one too because Stew overcame a lot of problems making it usefully informative as well as being a credit to him.....

I've added his thread to the list. I'd forgotten about Stew. He hasn't posted for absolutely ages. The last post on that thread was in May 2010!

Thanks for including me, but I'm really sorry about the pics in my thread. They were all on personal web space, but a change of ISPs meant they are all now broken links.

Not sure if I have the time to revisit the thread and repost them all via the bucket :(

You're going to have to redo all the broken links, Stu. At least your thread's easier to find!
