The little car sold last week to a man in Aberdeen - who I passed on details of the club and forum to. He got the bus down from Aberdeen and I met him in Edinburgh and he then drove it home.

I did take it over to Mel a week or so back who had a final drive and seemed really pleased to see her little car all spruced up and back on the road.

Onto other projects now - including a Triumph TR3 - but definitely have a sprint on the horizon as a car I'll have to have for a while.

Thanks

The new owner has already posted on the CT forum asking about poor running. I've tried to direct him over here. I wasn't so sure if it was the same car but when I took another look at this thread I now know for sure.

Yes, he picked it up in Edinburgh and drove it home to Aberdeen via Kircaldy without problem - it always ran well for me and Mel before me. I gave him some ideas (via text) about coil, ballast resistor etc (as everything else was changed) and maybe about fitting electronic ignition but it's difficult to diagnose remotely. I'm sure a competent classic car garage could diagnose the issue.

It was a really genuine car and had it not sold for my minimum I'd have still been happily user it.

Cheers
