Evening all,

A cheeky Sunday afternoon eBay bidding found me to be the purchased of this:

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 2595698598

Doesn’t look bad for £1500 but will wait and see. It will be a nice addition to my collection (1500HL & 1500)

However when trying to arrange collection the owner has now said his friend has the logbook & he is saying he cannot find it.

We will wait and see, but I don’t feel comfortable buying & Driving home a car that I don’t have a logbook for!

I agree,

We will wait and see. Would be a shame as it seems a bargain but I’m not going to risk it.

So i have decided against buying the car, The story kept changing about the logbook and im not comfortable about buying a car the otherside of the country with no paperwork. It also meant i would not be legal to drive it home.

Its a shame as it looked like a good car to restore, But clearly wasnt meant to be.

A wise decision I think.

as long as you get a HPI report done and also get a receipt from the owner that he owns the car,you should be okay then just apply for a new log book
