Shaun was asking me how to disassemble one of these....   Some information is here but it looks like I didn't actually provide an explanation on how to do it. This is what yours may look like when it comes off the car!  Shauns right, it isn't entirely obvious how it comes apart. The big spring that connects to the rear axle should just pull out, get that out of the way and make some space! Click on the photo below... In one end of the pivot is a grub screw (1), this secures in a pin (2) that in turn holds the pivot in (3). Remove the grub screw and the pin in the picture below and the pivot should be able to driven out, this may be a bit stiff due to rust/dirt etc...  You can then remove the rubber boot and undo the nut holding the cylinder to the bracket.  Use a club refurb kit and reassemble as per the picture below  The hyundai H100 van uses the same part, here's the hyundai parts diagram, the part number is 59411  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bremsdruckre ... The shell's now completely stripped and has been dropped off at the Painters, the same place incidentally that blasted and painted my race Sprint, so it's in good hands.....   All other components have been either powder coated or plated and will be ready to be bolted on when it comes back. |

First shots of it out of the Blaster's....bit of remedial work required!     In other news, lots of stuff has been stripped and powder coated: all the suspension components...well, everything actually!  Just started stripping the axle back.....measured the backlash and it is well within range and it's had regular oil changes and looks good....   ...been Jenolited and red lead to follow...

So, things are finally gathering pace!   A few quick questions then - obviously it's being stone chip painted underneath...are the cills stone chipped....Underneath the boot...are the sides of the car stone chipped too, like a continuation of the cills, or just underneath the boot area please? |

There was no such thing as stonechip on Dolomites. Most didn't had any paint on the underside being oxide red colour. Jeroen |

Looking really nice. When I removed the Ziebart from the areas I didn't want it, there was virtually no paint underneath  , no stone chip anywhere either.

Hi Shaun, On mine (VA485) the stonechip stops at the seam of the boot floor & the rear panel:  There is no visible stonepchip on the outer cill, only on the bottom bit  And again on the rear quarter only the very bottom bit not visible unless you are lying on the ground
