if somebody can help me to find quality timing chain and tensioners , please pm
the engine doesn't look so bad , compressions avec close to 10.4 kg:cm2 cold and hot
So maybe we will focus on the Bottom engine rebuild .

That's a lovely looking car!

Robsport have a quality timing chain kit with a decent tensioner and they give a discount to TDC members.

If you need decent bearings for the bottom end, I have a good selection of mainly AE Glacier and some Vandervell of different sizes.

It's a good old one and Unipart rebranded them ..... So a good chance it might be a genuine one :D I think the brand to avoid was "Rolon" Just check the tensioner.

good evening ,
question for the front pulley big bolt (38 mm head) , which looks very difficut to unscrew
is it a normal thread or is it an inverted thread ?

Post subject:  Re: Froggy dolly 2

It is a normal thread. You need to block the flywheel (you need to remove the starter motor), and, probably, best to have as much room as you can to ensure the big spanner will fit, i.e., remove radiator and fan, at least the fan.
To block the flywheel I used a ford item, only had to slightly enlarge one hole to make it fit the dolly stud pattern for the starter motor. I used this item here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... UTF8&psc=1.

You can only use std.

There's only an updated cooler.

There is a std heavy duty production cooler fitted to some export countries as standard equipment. No need for homologation as it's a standard part. Fortunately nobody knows these dimensions and to what export countries these were fitted.

There are more of these standard heavy duty items for certain export countries that were fitted on paper and not in real.

The good thing is that you can fit a cooler of your liking as long as it doesn't involve modifying the shell.
