A senior moment!

At last, spent every evening this week cleaning up & polishing the wheels. They're now ready to have the tyres fitted on Saturday, & then the nice relaxing job of painting them. \:D/

Rocker cover in the background has been painted & just needs the TRIUMPH logo cleaning up.

Mart, don't forget to clean up the bead seating area, nothing too fancy, good old wet n dry or those new tyres won't seal very well

Nearly forgot about that Malc, thanks for the reminder. I'm off to the garage to do it now.

Oliver, as the rear windscreen was out, Mary was able to pull the headlining back and use some duck tape on the back. She then painted the whole of the headlining with some fabric paint.

Finished painting the wheels today, once they had come back from having new boots fitted. :D

Also stuck the new bonnet seal on. Not original but it does the trick. Thanks to Martin Bellinger for the heads-up on that one. Available from Phoenix Supplies Part No. SRS 116, £3 per metre you need 3 metres.

Nearly finished!

Waiting for the rear brake flexi hose to arrive & then, hopefully, bleed the brakes, put the wheels on & finally the bonnet. So close yet so far!

Some success tonight, we've finally managed to bleed the brakes. :D Then, whilst putting on one of the rear wheels, a stud broke. :fuming: It couldn't have been a front one, oh! no, has to be a back one which means the friggin' half shaf will have to come out again.

Anyway, we put the other shiney wheels on and the bonnet and took a couple of pics to cheer us up.

For some reason these last little pieces of the jigsaw seem to be going on & on. I thought I'd definitely have it finished by last Sunday. So the plan is to replace the stud (maybe tomorrow night), put the airbox on (now sprayed up), put the bonnet catch on and bleed the bleeding brakes again. Insurance is already sorted, book it in for an MOT test early next week (passes first time of course [-o< ), tax it, get it to the spray shop for Jon to do a bit of tarting up & put the stripes on. Oh! and I still have to put the Leyland badges on. Will it be ready for the SDD?

I blame Jon the sprayer, he put me 6 weeks behind schedule.
