£106.9 is about right though. Except back then it was for a gallon :(

Had an update from the IOM and some pictures.

New owner (Tony) very happy and made the homeward journey without incident. The car didn't miss a beat. If fact reckons the 300 mile trip has improved the running.

What a true gent. Because the road tax system on the island is differrent to ours, (£5 a year !!) Tony even sent back the tax disc so I could get a refund. Fantastic. 10 months tax the government won't be keeping.

The car has received some excellent comments from from locals and his local garage. The Sprint had to undergo another MOT check ( a kind of import MOT I think) and it passed with flying colours. Garage owner even went as far as saying it's the best Sprint he has seen in years. Now I guess he could have just had a cataract operation  or there may be no other Sprints on the island, but nice know my efforts weren't in vain.

Pics are scanned polaroids but clear enough.

Hmmmm, Magenta possibly, Brooklands also a very real probability. Unless I turn the Brooklands into Magenta.

I was over there a couple of weeks ago. Didn't see any Dolomites, although I did see a couple of Triumphs...

Holy thread revival!

The reason for this is because this very Sprint is featured in the current edition of Classic Cars magazine and was pitted against the Renault 16 TX.
