Hi all

Are there any arrangements allowed or being made between triumph types to meet up at the circuit, i know the garages are going to be used but what are the chances of me getting close to other dolly/triumph owners.

Im sure you can normally get 4 or maybe even 6 cars per garage, would this be the norm for a track day?

I hope to arrive at the circuit for 6.50ish, only living 20 mins away is a great help, but getting child minders for 6.30 in the morning can be a challenge.

Look forward to seeing the Dollys and all the other Triumphs in the flesh, lets have a good day with plenty of trouble free laps and of course most importantly a dry track. PLEASE.
Not long now.

Des.

Well last time we managed to get in a garage but its going to be pot luck I guess.
Yes we are looking forward to meeting some people who until now have only been names, Chris, Robin and Mart have been track companions for nearly a decade now!
The latest weather news is that it is merely going to be cloudy, which is better than Fridays forecast for Monday which was heavy rain. Fingers crossed and pray to the weather gods.
I find that it is sometimes difficult to be relaxed on a track day as there is much to think about.
With any car it sometimes throws a hissy fit when it is shown a track and asked to perform flat out (which it never does on the road).

Hi all

Fantastic day, first track day in the dolly and it performed superb, only real downer was not being able to hold it on the throttle through fast right handers. Petrol starvation, let off, loose some speed then gun it and all was well, trouble was as i pushed slightly harder it always did it when i needed power the most.

All said and done today for me was truely the things dreams are made of. :D

I was incredibly nervous to start off but everybody seemed helpfull and accommodating making it all that more of an exciting experience. Thank you.
Biggest thank you goes out to Martin for taking my friend round as a passenger and giving him a lasting memory of a very much faster and capable car. Diamond.
Great day, great cars, great people, great time.

Des.

It gave me a lasting memory as well Des. The smile on his face when we got back to the pits was like the cat that got the cream. :D . I like that paint job on your Dolly btw, lovely colour.

To start with I must thank Robin, Chris, Jon & Alun for helping me to bump start my car throughout the day. The starter decided to pack up on Sunday.

All-in-all I had a great time. It was nice to get together again after the winter break & have a few laughs. Luckily the weather stayed dry for most of the day with the rain only effecting the last two sessions. I don't think any of us did the last session.

Well, here's the first video. Watch out for the red TR6.

Edit: You may have noticed in the video that there is a lot of construction works going on.

You are and were totally welcome to the pushes that I helped with, however how come it suddenly started to work when it came to the final push for home
I thoroughly enjoyed our jaunt to Silverstone, the MG's were mostly superb with some fantastic looking and sounding cars and I really mean that.
I am loading some video,s at the moment so I will return.

Oy Mart It seems to be a day for amazing coincidences as exactly in the same place on track you pass the TR6 as I did 8)

This evening I was looking for a DVD to record our trackday on and I shoved it in to play and out came "Money" by Pink Floyd recorded at Earls Court in 1994 when Diane and I went...............the exact time that it started playing on the One Show, err spooky.

More BOY you want more.
Mart I loved the No 1 and hate the fact that your car is faster than mine, I think my car needs a rolling road session as it seems to corner well but is down on umph down the straights and I hope its not just the fact that I have a Piper 270 in it instead of an STR91.

Seeing as you've never had yours on the rollers Jon, it seems to be setup pretty well. But I agree, a session on the RR will eke out a few more horses I reckon.

Mine is a Sony disc but the little sod keeps turning itself off with the vibrations :(
Otherwise my second session which was faster and smoother would have been on
