Mart I may be up for an admission pass. Good job you ran out of track passes, the fiesta does seem to have started burning oil alarmingly under very heavy acceleration...

Shame I didn't get my Sprint in time for this one. Maybe next time.

Any Dolly/FWD etc. will do Jod. Doesn't have to be a Sprint. :D

Look in the 'Meetings & Events' forum for the Castle Combe Classics Action Day 12th June

I've been on track on that day in Fiesta, which is not exactly a classic.

It's actually "Classics and Sportscars Action Day". But as Dave said, just about anything goes.

Well a big thanks to Mart for organising this.
I enjoyed the day hugely I took the Quantum round and discovered wheelspin coming out of corners  and managed 110 mph up to Avon rise (my sprint shows 105 normally) The Quantum is faster but not developed as well as the sprint.
I also loved a trip round as passenger with Mart 8) its great being in an old car that wallops many modern cars, Diane also enjoyed a "ride" with Mart.
Daughter Rebecca was there with her 350 bhp Subaru and took me round in it, which was an amazing contrast between the different vehicles, I suspect that the fastest was Mart's.
Another great day finishing with sitting on Marts bonnet operating his throttle to get him back to the pits after its slight glitch out on track, much to the amusement of our fellow pit dwellers.

Thanks again Mart from Jon & Diane.

Was good to see you both there Jon and Martin. I went down in my Saab 9000 as there were lots of Saabs on track but didn't take mine on. Will do soon though, be interesting to see how it compares to the Dolomites. It's a massive barge that doesn't do corners but I trounced an Astra VXR on the way home 8)

Another great day. :D I got a bit sunburned  Good to see Jon & Di again and Adam & friends.

Had some great sessions with lots of overtaking (and being overtaken) but there were still a few idiots out there. Hopefully they got yellow carded. :D All went well until the last session when, after a few laps, the throttle pedal just went straight to the floor. Broken cable I thought, but when we got it back to the club stand ( ) it was a pin had come out of the throttle linkage, but fortunately the pin had not only stayed in the bracket but had worked it's way back in. So five minutes later, all was well. :D

Thanks to Jon & Di for being my passengers, it was a great laugh (especially the MR2 spin). :-"

As ever, very nice track time videos Mart! Over the last seasons you can really notice the improvements you’ve made to your car!

Now you’re lapping so much faster, do you experience extra wear on the mechanical bits? I can imagine the rear axle seals are working at its limits with the improved cornering abilities

And it’s nice to see the ‘modern’ cars have their own problems (BMW handling, Toyota brakes, driver control, etc).

It is these videos that keep me motivated to upgrade my own Sprint a little bit during the restoration, cheers :!:
