In so many ways far too many people are willing to put down a Dolomite especially a Sprint.
I had spoken to plenty of triumph people about doing a track day in my 1850 and the response was always negative, even Dolomite people were putting me off the idea.
The car more than impressed me throughout the day and ran faultlessly even when pushed hard.
It is true about developement though, just think about how much money, time and effort that had been thrown at such cars like the Escort, then think about how much money Triumph didn't have.
Fact is the Sprint made a huge impact back then, considering this, and is still used in racing today because it is still a giant killer, capable of great things.
It has been said that people still race them because they are capable of more than people expect.
That must be satisfying.
