There are pictures of my dolly in action over the weekend in amongst some of the more exotic machinery.

Good pictures your sprint looks a little soft and low at the front.

it's certainly too low, but soft it ain't! I have 400lb springs in there. I got some shorter ones just before the event, thinking I could adjust the seat height on the spax to bring it up to where I want, but the damn things are seized solid. During the off season I will be looking into replacing them with something else, AVO's maybe. I'm in need of a bigger anti-roll bar up front, and some stickier tyres and some more power and......... well you motorsport guys know how it is.

Cheers
Mark

Didn't you do a front arb from a Sierra or something John? I seem to remember seeing it on E-bay...

Also;

Is that the rear ARB sitting very low in this picture?

it does sit rather low, but the ground clearance all round is only around 3 inches, it left a nice big gouge on the footpath as I reversed out of the drive. like I said earlier I need to get new dampers so I can adjust the ride height.

cheers

Results were not good on paper, but was pleased with the mods I had made to the car, I was a good few seconds quicker (raw time) than I had been previously. I had a good run in the morning but hit a cone so added two seconds to my time which dropped me down the table by about 10 places. In the afternoon I had some serious misfire problems, I have just fitted an MSD 6AL ignition box and I think it was cooking my plug leads.

the results are here http://boston-bmwcca.org/results/AutocrossResults.aspx event 7 was last weekend. I was in class J at this event.

I definately need new tyres next season, the ones I use are very old and were part used when I got them!

Cheers
Mark

New tyres make soo much difference.
Yes I made an anti roll bar from a 26mm Sierra one but I am not too sure it helped much, I think the braking is compromised when the front is too low as the footprint lessens.
