Hi all,

Just noticed this on triumphowners, not sure if the owner is a TDC member. Some very impressive suspension work going on here: http://www.triumphowners.com/1747

Cheers,
Garth

That's interesting. Looks lovely with those wheels.

I don't get all the work for the inboard springs though
What's he acheiving? Higher C of G, more to wear out, more weight...no performance gain.
I can understand them on an open wheeler, but not on a dolomite, there's plenty of room if you're modifying floors etc.

Car sits nicely though and it'll draw a crowd...which is a good enough justification I suppose.
It's not coming out of this under 1200kg though. I would put £5 on it. lol. It'll be about as quick as a mildly tuned sierra cosworth, though there will be a lot less axle tramp than on a cossie.

Standard drag rear set up with a watts link,
Rubbish around corners,
Very nicely done though.
He has to get rid of the front shock towers as it will sit funny if not
You can only lower dolomite front suspension so far with out it going spastic

Unless he is VERY careful, that will never see the road again.
He's already in BIVA territory with the relocation of the suspension, the space frame will just make it a dead cert.

Looks like a nice fabrication shop the things you could do
with that kind of tooling the stuff of dreams
I don't think it will see the road as 3" of suspension travel isn't going to work very well.
I'm intrigued with the front end though .

Rubbish around corners,
As it looks like the front wheels would not even turn as it's set up now.

It does remind me though, just how much I love the look of big shiny split rims under a classic car.
