Forge Motorsport Action Day
Castle Combe
Saturday 8th September

I shall hopefully be attending. My first track day this year!

I haven't fitted the 48s yet so I will see what, if any, improvements in lap times I get with the head work & lightened flywheel.

All went well Ronald. The new paint job certainly attracted more attention than it used to get. Loads of people came up to have a look & talk about the Sprint, young and old, and plenty of people snapping away. I was very pleased with the response. I took Dan (Dolly-Nut) out a couple of times and I think he enjoyed himself.

There seemed to be more than the usual amount of red flags though, so as the day went on so the schedule slipped more & more to the point that on my third session I had to queue for an hour & a quarter. One major off at Camp Corner meant they had to rebuild the safety barrier...

...I believe the two occupants were ok, if a little shaken.

Anyway, I had three sessions which were great fun and no stoppages...

Session 1

Session 2

Session 3

Yikes. It's not that many years ago that the catch fence wasn't there.

Nice to see the vids Mart, I'm sure I'm not the only one to admit I missed them

By the sound of it, the engine ran really well without hesitations. Did the improvements you made to the engine and ignition system gain you horsepower/speed?

Thanks Ronald. It did feel like it was coming out of the corners a bit quicker and it now definitely revs to 7000 rpm without much trouble. I'm not sure if I've gained any horses but, when I get a chance, I'll see what my lap times were. Usually about 1:30 but I have done some 1:29s.
