Hi all,

About to start recommisioning a rally spec sprint engine and one of the things to replace are the valve springs as it hasn't turned over in many a year.
Currently it has a Piper BP300 cam and double valve springs.
Can anyone tell me where I can get new double springs from?, have tried Piper, Kent, Rimmers etc but with no luck.

Thanks
Chris

If they are serviceable Chris I would leave well alone because they are probably better quality than some of the rubbish about now.

I would not use them again. Too much strain on the chain and tensioner and very not needed in a sprint.

Lots of good advice and knowledge on this site Chris from people who have first hand experience of uprated Sprints like Jeroen and Mart. Anyway welcome to the forum.

Burton's - if you really need doubles look at their Sierra Cosworth range - they fit.

Rally engine - good quality singles may be your best bet (again, size up a set from Burton's and check for coil gap at full lift).

Or phone/email Ken Clarke or Rob MacGregor (SprintSpeed) and find what they use.

Singles are fine for 7.5k

Unless your reving the nuts off the engine singles will be fine
If you can find some lighter valves even better ,
