I'll be filling this forum with random questions over the next while so I better give all of you an explanation. Seventeen years ago I was looking for a Rover P6 but spotted a Sprint at a good price and went for that. My plan was to just get it in good shape and correct some of the previous owners bodges. I got the interior stripped and the engine out and set to work but just about then my wife's MS started to get more difficult to deal with so I gave up regular work to care for her and worked from home as a freelance structural engineer specialising in building/ house conversions.
Work on the car ground to a halt but I kept an interest in Dolomite matters. Plans changed and influenced by a local chap with a rally Sprint I decided to do a replica period racer. I bought a strong engine from another local owner who was swapping in a Cosworth turbo into his but then work totally stopped. I had to move home to a house on one level, spend most of my time as a carer and start up and runs a business all at the same time. The car plus engine and various collected parts sat in my ( dehumidified ) garage for fifteen years gathering dust.
A few months ago I realised that I would never get to do the job myself so I passed it over to a couple of local lads who run a small garage specialising in modified Subarus but who both also have classic Escorts. In the space of a couple of weeks they had checked the car for corrosion( almost none thankfully), stripped, sprayed and rustproofed the underside, sprayed the interior and refitted the dash and made good some paint blemishes. The subframe and suspension has all been grit blasted and sprayed then reassembled with Polybushes and Spax coilovers. The engine is now back in for a trial fit of oil cooler and fuel lines/ pumps but will be coming out to grind out the manifold for a big bore down pipe. By the way the engine was professionally built by AGRA Engineering in Fife and dynoed at over 160 BHP.
Still to do are seats, belts, roll cage, fuel tank battery and extinguisher system. Last but not least we will be looking at replicating as near as possible the works brake set up with machined Golf2 ventilated discs with stock callipers spaced 10 mm. That is still in planning!!
All in a big rush because these guys work fast but we are keeping a big folder of pics and I promise a fuller write up soon. I tried to post a couple of pics but they have to many pixels for this platform.
Now another question. What camber, caster and toe in would be a starting point for a track day car like mine?

Agra - wow, no wonder it kicks out 160 brake, that won't have been cheap!
I'm looking forward to seeing this.

I don't know the actual cost from AGRA since I bought it secondhand.
Sixteen years ago I paid £800 for it. I contacted AGRA and they sent me
copies of the build sheet and dyno readings.
Work done includes head porting, fast road cam and bullet shaped phosphor
bronze valve guides above the head gasket and lightening, knife edging,
nitriding and balancing of the crank. The ignition is Lucas Optronic and
fuelling is via twin 45DCOEs.
Pistons, bearings, timing chain, oil and water pumps and head bolts were all new.
Torque is over 120 ft.lbs from3500 on and peaks at 143 ft.lbs at 5500 and
power was 162 at 6000.
