Denis

Hello everyone and thank you to the administrators for their welcome.
I have just acquired a 1978 and 50,000 km dolo sprint with the aim of participating in the next Historic Monte-Carlo Rally in January 2023.
So I'm starting a big overhaul of my car that I still want to keep almost as original.
The first question I ask myself: currently the 44D4 Lucas distributor is equipped with an old optical reading electronic system. Which system do you think is better: optical or magnetic reading?
I thank you in advance.

Denis

It does not matter, both versions are available in quality ones.
