Remember watching this race, i do believe you got your nose ahead a couple of times, great racing. I love it. :D :P

There are still a few dollys running in classic touring cars and they are great fun to watch.
I think Nigel was champion in the Camero and a Rover SD1 so you must have done a fair job preparing it but i would like to see him back out giving it large in the Dolly for a season.

Ref HKU 291N,(see page 1) I purchased the car in Oct 2007 from Derek Booth, with help from Ken Clarke(where the car had been stored for the last 4 years)

I did 5 laps at Silverstone last June and 2 piston rings broke!

Since then with the help of my friend Dan Ward we have rebuilt the engine(incl new pistons etc),had the gearbox overhauled and completed a full strip and rebuild of the car

The car will undertake some racing this year, after the engine has been run in etc

Hi Andy I own the sister car to yours. I also bought mine thru Ken but
from Peter Brown it was in Prod Saloon spec although the paintwork
was rough it was a very solid shell.
From the paperwork supplied , the engine was built in 1985 at around
7400 miles. It was then used as a road car for a couple of years [I have
MOTsfor '85, 7399 miles, '86, 9981 miles ] I bought it with 10433 miles.
I have a rolling road invoice from 1986 showing 158 BHP at wheels with STR
091 cam and twin 48 dellorto's.
ken has built me a new Full Race engine and after 2 years of development
I shall be competing in The Classic Touring Car Club series this year.
I am also doing a track day this Sunday at Snetterton.
I hope we can catch up with each other sometime to compare notes!
Bob Kett.

Nigel Garrett, Mark Osbourne, and Tony Crudgington, all
very rapid Sprints
