I spotted this on Car and Classic website the other week and just thought I'd see what it went for
http://www.brightwells.com/3rdparty/orp ... hp?id=1615

£3,700! seems a lot given how it looks although the photos aren't the best and might be underplaying it?

Actually I think its fair money. Its pre facelift which is worth a bit extra, the engine rebuild isn't that old, the colour is nice, if its was rebuilt it would be worth 6 or 7k.

Mot, tax, heritage certificate, I'd say its a fair price.

I agree with David...
Pretty good price really.

Are those seats the wrong colour?

Black seats I think Oli, so correct for the car, trick of the flash on the camera makes them look Grey.....

Yes, black seats always seem to appear grey in digital pictures. I like the woodwork, something's different about it but I'm not quite sure what, is it that it has burr veneer rather than the usual, MFI-quality stuff? Nice, and an early one too.

Seems a nice enough car, shame about the speakers in the door trims, that's a pet hate of mine. The wood does look a burr veneer finish. There's a few things I would want to change if I bought it.

Steve :D

Good value really when you consider it's a trade advert. You'd be hard pushed to buy a ropey one and make it up to this standard. Agree though that the pics make it looka bit pants, the carpet is a repro one which is not everyone's cuppa tea ditto the wood trim. Just hope the bonnet isn't shut properly as it looks a bit on the wonk.

Nothing wrong with that price. Prices for "our" car are definitely on the up.

If the body is good, with a clean underbonnet I don't think it's too bad. The interior does let it down, but a decent set of wood, new door cards and a standard steering wheel would transform it! That "walnut" wood looks horrible (IMHO). Easy and relatively cheap to fix. :)

Interesting to note the reference to Orphans Press in the URL..... I wonder why.....?

I deliver to them in Leominster whenever I'm given that run. Nice folk.
