Took the head of my sprintalike yesterday for inspection purposes and to replace the head gasket before putting it into more regular use .I didnt find anything untoward (other than a very crusty gasket)but have a query on re-torqueing the head. I would normally torque it out radially from the centre but i'm sure i read somewhere (maybe a Triumph world article) that you could torque the slanty ones first so it pulls it across to where it wants to go before torqueing the bolts ..... Your thoughts ??? :-k hope that makes sense as it does not read very well

Thanks Andy

Yer thats what your supposed to do.

Start in the middle and work out but doing all the studs first before doing the bolts.
