my nice shiny radtec rad has the fan mounted on the front of the rad as opposed to the back. in absence of car, bearing in mind the fan is quite shallow, is there likely to be enough clearance between the rad and the inner front panel to fit it, therefore is there any mileage in trying to install it or should I just get them to fit some brackets on the back of the rad??

this whole car project thing is now doing my fookin bonce in.

:chant:

In a word...unlikely. An auto oil cooler only just fits...

If its designed to sit in front of the rad then by putting it on the back means it will be pushing air against the ram air; you need a pull fan to go behind the rad.

As you won't have a VC why not bracket the rad off the front panel to increase the depth between them?

I had to extend the front on my Sprint to get the Fan in front.

Also bear in mind I had a Thicker rad made.

Rebuilding the Sprint time taken so far, 111Hrs@15/12/2020
212Hrs @31/12/2021
352 @ 28/11/2022
455Hrs @ 20/10/2023
480Hrs @ 14/03/2024
This is time taken at the Sprint not necessary time worked.

Working on a ratio of just 7Hrs a day not including driving to the Sprint.
That equals to 68 days that doesn’t include weekends.
