This dolomite is in the Dutch dolomite register, and is a late (registered nov '78) inca yellow 1850HL. Nice to see a recent picture of it in its native country.
Dutch plates don't contain area information, but can be dated more or less:

00-00-AA - 99-99-ZZ up til very early 70s
00-AA-00 - 99-ZZ-99 early till late 70s (actually, AA is reserved for the royal family)
AA-00-AA - ZZ-99-ZZ late 70s till early 90s
AA-AA-00 - ZZ-ZZ-00 early 90s - .... here I lost interest.
00-AA-AA - 99-ZZ-ZZ 200x - 20.... now I really lost interest.
00-AAA-0 - 99-ZZZ-0 *yawn* about now

Oh, and, Dutch plates up till 1978 can be dark (nearly blac) or (~1977-1978) lighter (~tahiti) blue too - from 1978 onwards they are yellow background w. black letters.

Kind regards,
Tjakko

Hi Bill I have been to Edinburgh on business three times since Christmas and spent some time exploring your fine city.
Such a quality city posibly the finest in UK IMHO.
I even saw Joely Richardson walking near the centre 8) a fine looking woman, I wonder if she lives there?
Looks like I might have regular trips soon.

Love the play on words too Bill

Now the real story, No it was not us. Wineke had bought this Dutch RHD sprint specially for a UK holiday. It is not a beauty, but came with new tires and a fresh APK (MOT).
Ofcours several bugs like an always engaged OD, the usual wire mesh in the front spoiler area, wheel bearings, MOT ok but for me liking to much play on some swivels, etc etc.
Replaced all the warn bits, new brakes and fluid, clutch fluid, 4 new Hella H4 including relays and fuse box, internal engine clean, new oil (Motul Classic) and filter, lubricating the obvious places, wind shield wipers to name one. Oh and before I forget, a very good set HIF44 carbs with new needles, Luminition, plugs and cables, and even an old type Philips radio, only using the front speaker.
As a little fun she made a set of number plates using plane UK front and rear ones but ofcours the Dutch digits, to finish this of she found on eBay a Hovercraft GB sticker. We and the car should look a bit 80ties. :D :D

Had the car on the road almost daily for some weeks, and it run perfect.
So Friday we left for a hotel just outside Dunkirk, some 350 miles only using the first bit motorway and the rest country roads.
Friday night after 8, some 3/4 hour from the hotel, no clutch anymore, stuck in gear in the middle of nowhere, Shi..... :( :(
Still pedal, enough fluid, slave cil comes out pouch the leaver.
Alredy slightly getting dark, weekend in front of us so all garages closed, several hotels, rooms in pups, and important the ferry alredy bookt.

We do have a good insurance including replacement transport from the Dutch AA (ANWB) in 1.5 hour the car was on transport(no costs) we had a place to stay, and Saturday morning a brand new I30 (no costs) to cary on.

So although we where whit out our RHD Sprint, the Midsummer Murder tour could continua. :D
Visited quit some places they took the shots in south Oxfordchire, slept in 3 different pubs, spend a wonderful day with our very close friends some of you will remember, (the founder and owner of Sprint Spares)

And finally seen a good example of a RHD Yellow Sprint standing on the roadside, probable some of you know?? would have loved to park our Sprint behind this one, we had to do it with the Hyundai this time.

The car is already back, clutch temporary repaired. We will try it all again later in the year.

This Sunday we do have the first Dutch Dolomite meeting at our home (including an 2 hour tour and BBQ) sins some 25 years over 10 cars will show up.
