When it comes to my cars I like to treat them to a few bits and bobs to make them my own as it were... Don't get me wrong, I don't drive straight through Halfords, oh no! Everything that I add has to have been available in period as it were (the 60's and 70's were awash with motor accesssories!!!) so as to keep the look and feel of the car as it would have been when relatively new...

On my Toledo I have the following...
1) Dolomite Sprint/HL chin spoiler
2) Dolomite Sprint alloy wheels
3) flexible, dash mounted map light (soon to be fitted)
4) Raydyot spot lamps (soon to be swapped for some Lucas Square 8's)

There are a couple of other things that I'd like to add, but that's about it really... Nice and simple and above all, available when my car was born!

Now I'd like to know what you good people have on your cars whether fitted by yourself or a previous owner... And if you feel inclined to include some pictures that'd be great!

Fitted an original triumph cassette player which still works!

Chrome badge bar to the front of the SE. Ironic post-modern fluffy dice inside.

Still looking for a reasonably-priced Radiomobile or Voxson eight track player for the Jensen. Hen's teeth.

That rev counter is ace...! I'd love a suitably 70's pod-like rev counter to add to my Toledo...

Factory mono radio, converted with a line on for ipods and that, great for blasting uriah heep. It also had cruise control fitted at the factory, not tried it out yet though as its not on the road.

I love obscure 70s add ons, i really must find some more!

I agree with the above, the 1970's was THE decade for DIY add-ons... I would love to see your Cruise Control setup D&O as I've never seen one in a 70's motor before even though I've seen many different systems advertised in contemporary car magazines...

Fairly cheap and quite easy to fit, should you want one.

I've got one in my modern, and wouldn't be without it now.

I have (very) recently been given this little pen knife ( I apologise for the clarity of the picture):

Image

Which was given to the first 50 or so people booking a test drive for the brand new Triumph Dolomite.

Such a rare find, I am so very chuffed to have it.
