So I got the parcel shelf out to replace the front padding part.

The little metal split pin/ studs are fun  should I re use them or find new ones?
If new ones does anyone know where from, I've looked at previous threads etc but no joy.

Secondly what's the best way to clean up the actual shelf itself?

Thanks

My parcel shelf was quite worn and scuffed. I used black shoe polish - the lazy liquid stuff in a bottle with a sponge applicator. Apply liberally and wipe/ polish off after few minutes. It certainly improved the appearance.
I suppose if you have the shelf out you could try spraying the fibreboard with a flexible vinyl paint.

I used satin black on the boot cards, very lightly sprayed.

I found that the clips are best released from inside the boot, just push together then push up.

I believe Simon's talking about the front parcel shelf, under the dash. Then again, perhaps you have very long arms ...
