Just fixed my girlfrieds car. "It conked out and lost all its electric." She said. I got there to find one half of the main feed cable from the battery trailing on the floor and the remains of the other half wrapped round the left hand drive shaft. Seems an inferior quality rubber doughnut had split in half and picked up the cable. We were lucky- no sparks no fire and we still have a car. So check those couplings regularly and get new old stock while it's still around!!!
