Cheers for the replies. The end float on the crank is fine as is the jackshaft and cam.
I've had the boss of fhe sprocket skimmed and all is well again.
Well almost...... I've ordered a new Woodruff key for the sprocket to crank connection and it won't fit. I sent it back and the replacement won't fit. Sent back again....guess what the next replacement wouldn't fit! All too big. I did wonder if it was the new sprocket but all wouldn't fit the old sprocket or the crank. Utterly pants quality of new parts. All the keys are poorly finished too.
Anyone else suffered from this?
The car is coming along nicely though. Nearly there!

I've also had a access hatch added in the transmission tunnel so I can top up the gearbox more easily. Underlay still needs tidying.
