I am replacing the cam cover gasket on my 1850 but it seems too wide to fit between the outside lip and the inside one (where the metal bends). I have done this before but can't remember having a problem.

I think it was from Rimmers, has anybody else had this, if so does anybody know of another supplier?

Ah the brothers, best not comment on them.

You want GEG447, Robsport https://robsport.co.uk/index.php/online ... kets-sealshas it and so does http://www.tdfitchett.co.uk/store/dolom ... 50-geg447/ tdfitchett.

Can't comment on the quality, don't have an 1850, but Robsport are my go to supplier. Never had a duff part and they have reasonable postage.

It looks cork like the 1500 one, I had to use some sealant to stick it inside the cover to make it fit. Don't know if that would work for the 1850.

TD Fitchett is another supplier I'd recommend. S&S Preparations are also worth a try.

The names listed are retailers, there are limited ‘suppliers’ for these items and most source stock from the same places...or from each other.

I think that I will try trimming the one that I have.

I needed some bits so I thought that I would get them from Robsport and include a cam cover gasket.

Sure enough, as you can see from the photo below, it is thinner.

However, as the other photos show, it is too long.

Luckily I have found an old gasket in reasonable condition that seems to fit.
