my 1500 fwd is hard too get into first and reverse - there's not much distinction between the respective gear slots. any ideas what could rectify that to make the gear selection more defined? thanks |

Bushes at the bottom of the gear shift would be my first point of call |

What Bruce said!^^^^^^^^ The FWD box will never have the precision of a RWD box, but you should be able to find the gears OK! There are a set of nylon and rubber bushes and little metal tubes that all wear in the bottom of the stick/linkage, some are the same as used in the Heralds/Spitfires 3 rail box. You can still get a kit for the Herald linkage from all the usual suspects. Steve |

hi i've bought what i think is a bush its a thick black rubber circle about the size if a £2 coin. would this be it? alos, is this accessed from inside the car by taking the carpet cover off the stick? thanks |
