Any idea if a Dolomite automatic gearbox will fit in the boot of a Dolomite automatic?
Asking for a friend.... honest.

Cheers, Sam :?

It will with a bit of fettling and cutting, also relocation of the fuel tank and you may have problems with having the output shaft reaching the engine as well as the linkages.

On a serious note no they won't, take the seat base out and chuck it on the floor in back.

How about ...
Remove spare wheel put in a bin-bag and put in front passenger foot well.
Ditto the Boot board and carpet behind the driver's seat .
The bell housing end of the auto-box then goes in the boot in the spare wheel well on a foam buffer and the back end goes across the fuel tank also on a foam buffer.

Dimensions of a BW 'box are 66 cm long, 42 cm across the bellhousing and 36 cm high (but the dipstick extends the height to 53 cm.
