Evening, just thought I'd pass this on as the service I received was very good.

My dizzy had a lot of vertical play and a small amount of horizontal play. I sent it to Ignition Car Parts Ltd (link below). They tested it and called me to say it didn't need as much work as I'd feared. They adjusted the vertical play, refitted the Magnetronic unit (the screw supplied with the kit didn't hold it tight against the base), fitted new advance springs and gave it a lick of paint. They said it didn't really need it but they had a spindle that they could fit for an extra few pounds. All in all it came to £55 plus the VAT and postage. The dizzy was only out of the car for a week and Dolly runs very well now (except for a few carb issues, but that's another story!).

I can't guarantee you'll get as good a service as I did, but if you need your dizzy refurbished it's a good place to start.
