My tie bar end that go in to the axle are looking rusty and tired. Does the large washer part come out of the rod with the threaded part ?
Has anyone had theirs repaired and if so how ? I took an old poly bush centre bush out and it is exactly the same diameter and length as the end of the tie bar.. I thought the tie rod end could be turned down and the bush pressed on. However I then thought the turned part inside would be smaller diameter and potentially weaker.

you could have them spray welded and then machined to the correct diameter.
