hi does anyone know if rimmers sprint synchro rings are any good as they list 2 types standard and premium or are there any uprated ones available cheers

I don't have an answer unfortunately. I've never bought any from Rimmers although I do have 2 or 3 NOS ones here..somewhere. I assume the difference in price is the type of material used. Where are they manufactured???

thank you for replies will have to give rimmers a call monday there overhaul kit seems to be reasonably priced.

Mike Papworth has a very good reputation for re-building these gearboxes. I would see if he will sell you the parts rather than sourcing them from Rimmers.

My best advice would be to reuse the original synchro rings wherever possible.
