It might be a bit cynical and unfair, but my brain read that as "not enough people have ordered these yet, add to cart and back order and when/if we have enough orders to justify the outlay we might get them made"

Sounds about right.

I'd like a full set as spares but would never pre-order off a retailer, unless they had a great track record of providing quality parts, but having no idea what you're getting, no chance - the Club yes, not a retailer.

:D I think you are wrong Sam.
A two month delay is likely to deter potential sales,
to encourage sales they could state "expected imminently" or some suchlike phrase?

I am thinking the lockdown and furlough scheme are contributory factors here.
The factory may have reopened but is building up production rates and dealing with a backlog?
Furthermore, they may have been delayed by the absence of certain essential staff who were shielding?

Earlier this year I placed an order with Rimmers for a part that was out of stock
and this was actually delivered to me on the expected date.
I have used Rimmers a bit and cannot fault their service, next or same day despatch, the orders are well packed
and their carriage prices are very reasonable.

I see this post is quite old. Did the club go ahead and purchase any of the quarterlight rubbers. I need a set.

Thanks

I was looking at the front door of mine. If I ever get caught out in the rain, I'll be getting rather wet...

Did these make production?

I've not had an update on them for some time, since before "lockdown".
