Dolomite front subframes have been known to drop at the back,
meaning the only thing holding them to the car is the steering intermediate shaft  .
The cup washers are the usual culprit (and replacements are readily available).

On my Sprint both the cup washers were beyond use and on one side of the subframe
the hole in one mounting lug is rather tatty as well.
By chance I found a ready made part to effect a repair, which is a T2000 tie bar mounting cup washer.
(I had bought a pair of they cup washers because I am using (replica) ST front tie bar bushes on my Sprint.)
The hole in the cup washer is slightly small (one increment on my step drill bit I think).

Ian.
