Tescos, and Shell, are the only super unleaded that my Sprint is happy on.It will run on ordinary crap, but tends to run slightly hotter and run on after a long run.If I get stuck,I have a supply of avgas for the racebike.Mine does around 25mpg round the doors, and about 40 mpg on a longrun at about 70-80mph(with overdrive).

Guess I'm lucky to have the choice of Tesco's or Shell's Super Plus 99 Ron stuff or BP's Super (not sure what Ron says about that).

Graham
I think RON says 97 for BP.

As I remember, even the cam'ed engine with twin choke 45s ran fine on general Super (when ASDA sold it) and or 4 star, after 5 star disappeared. I don't think I was using any Super Plus till Optimax, what V Power used to be called, came out.

The only problems, and they were big'uns, have come from running the Sprint engine on 2 star. Though I did have a similar problem once running a 2-stroke Villiers 2T engined DMW Dolomite with double the oil in the fuel. But killing that shiece of pit was a mercy.
