Good evening all,

Just wondering if anyone has purchased a new 1500 Throttle Cable recently & was it OK ?

Silly me butchered the one on the car to fit an SK Carb
I've put the twin SU's back on her (it's a 1300) so needed to get a new cable & I've just received a new one from Rimmer's but either the cable is about 2cm too short or the outer shieth is too long.
I was just going to take some off of the outer shieth so it sits a little closer in the bracket but where the cable seems shorter there's not enough length to safely cut it without damaging the cable.

Just wondering if anyone has a genuine one available to buy ?

Thank you,

My advice is to contact Rimmers before modifying anything, More than likely they have sold you a duff part.

Thanks for the replies,

I'll contact Rimmer's to see if they have any issues and hopefully get a replacement.
If that's the same I may have to do the brake cable mod.
Pretty sure I've put the linkages back together correctly as it revs freely operating it manually.

Just a final update on this one

Rimmers sent me a TCE412, which by all accounts was the same as the UKC1329 - as above, it didn't fit so I found a NOS UKC1329 which fitted perfectly.

Rimmers in all fairness have supplied a Return Number quickly so it has gone back today.

No just the small matter of setting the carbs up again...

You can always give me a shout if you get stuck for parts as I keep a lot of 1300/1500 (both FWD and Dolly) parts in my workshop.
