During investigation of the blower motor on my 1850 I found a short circuit fault in the windings. A replacement motor seems scarce for a Dolomite. The motor looks identical to the one used on MGB's. Can someone confirm this? The MGB's are readily available.
Also if one of you have a spare motor (used but functioning) around, let me know.

It is of interest to me that you mention that a MGB motor will fit a Dolomite, Henk.

I read on another forum (when I was looking at improving a car heater) that there is an MGB specialist
in California who offers upgraded heaters and also heater fans.
The fans he uses are the VW Golf type.

For my car I will be needing a fan so was thinking of trying a VW one.
Alas I haven't got round to it yet, a friend has three (derelict) parked outside his house
so my intention was to ask him but the lockdown restrictions have denied an opportunity.

Ian.
