The battery on the Tolly Sprint I'm finishing is where the back seat used to be. I therefore need to provide an earth strap from the block. Just a sanity check, anywhere on the body will be fine won't it?

Yes, the whole body is effectively the earth, so there is no reason it shouldn't work.
