What's the difference between the pre and post 76 Sprint throttle cables?

Got this NOS AlexAnder one that says 1976-on, though the listing didn't say that. The others I've looked at listings for don't list separate ones for Sprint, but gRimmers have the Sprint one as 1850 from 76 on. So maybe whoever wrote the text for this packaging, misread BL/Unipart info.

So I'm just going to try to fit it today anyway.

I don't believe there was a difference.

Or when it stops raining, or I can get a tarp on the leaking carport roof.

Well it fits perfectly So it was an actual bargain, despite the angst.

All SU equipped 1850s and Sprints use the same throttle cable.
1850s with Strombergs had a different cable.

(The only difference between them is at the throttle linkage end.)

There's a couple of others of these Alexander 459 cables the same, but listed as 1850. Again, cheap compared to the new ones listed for Sprint.
