Interesting reading.
My Sprint sits at 3/4 on the temp gauge at idle, not got around to looking at it yet, but it doesn’t boil.
The sender unit should have a specific resistance at 84degrees?? I did think of putting the sender in some boiling water, then see where the gauge moves to.
So do we assume pointing the infra red thermometer at the housing at the back of the head once fully warmed up should be a good indication of the hottest area of coolant?
