Has anyone ever fitted power steering to their Dolly? Don't suppose the OHV models need it but the Sprint is a bit heavy when parking and power would give faster responses on the twisty bits :D

Maestro or Montego rack has been mentioned before,

Not sure if anyone here has tried it yet.

Rebuilding the Sprint time taken so far, 111Hrs@15/12/2020
212Hrs @31/12/2021
352 @ 28/11/2022
455Hrs @ 20/10/2023
480Hrs @ 14/03/2024
This is time taken at the Sprint not necessary time worked.

Working on a ratio of just 7Hrs a day not including driving to the Sprint.
That equals to 68 days that doesn’t include weekends.

Just install a brake line lock kit and let the tramping effect of the rear axle swing the car round when you smoke the tyres. easy. :D

this topic has been covered before, many times. the general cenus was that its not needed but if you must have it it would have to be a rover rack system although there is not another space so serious mods needed. forget eleltronic ps as this needs a ecu to work off.
maybe something i will play with one day after the 732 other things that are waiting my attention.

It is also rather prone to catching fire as most peugeot and vauxhall owners amybe aware (also on abs power connectors too) Mind you, from all accounts dual mass flywheels in vw products has a similar effect.

Why do you need a dual mass flywheel????

duel mass flwheels help eliminate clucth slip because of the freeplay within the unit. .but what does this have to do with power steering on a dolly???

Some cars have a seperate ecu for the power steering (vauxhall corsa I think is one). Then all you need to do is conect that up to an elctric speedo.

The Vauxhall unit's are close to the Renault and Mercedes one's.
Various sensor's I.E. Wheel RPM/Steering Rack Sensor Sure they may be other's?.
Control the speed of the pump.
Low speed High pressure nice light steering
High speed Low pressure Heavy Steering
A lot of the rally boy's use them without the ECU wiring them direct light steering all the time.
Not sure if it's something for everyday use?.
