Are they a standard fit on a Sprint?

Sadly no. Phil ( SprintV8 ) had to do a lot of mods to get it to work.

But well worth the effort.

How many Sprint's/Dolomite's do you know with Stag wheel's.

Bet you can count them on one hand(Finger).

This is time taken at the Sprint not necessary time worked.

Working on a ratio of just 7Hrs a day not including driving to the Sprint.

Phil - can you give me a rough idea of what had to be changed? Thanks!

would it be feasible to fit stag vertcial links and hubs, and make spacers for the rear wheels with longer studs?

come on phil, share your secrets, and soon there'll be a collection of stag wheeled dollies cruising the streets!

:funny:

My application will be a toledo-sprint... how cool would that be?!?!?!

:spliff:

........much like this (including Stag brakes! :D)

"Changing the Sprint to Stag brakes is fairly easy;

Strip the hub assy down and get the stub axle pin's pressed out and refit Stag one's (There slightly longer),

Now you need some spacer's made the inner one is 4.94mm wide by 18.94 high, the outer one is 3.55mm by 38.07,

There is also another spacer 4.04mm and this goes between the hub and disc and need to be machineed to just cover the disc face(See photo's),

With all this is should be a matter of just bolting it all together,
You will need to use the Stag front hub's and you can not use the Sprint 13" Wheel's."

(From Phil's Triumph Owners page :))

He did tell me about the back wheels but I can't remember. Think it was redrilled hubs and new studs?

I'll do how to do the rear's later.

Sorry I have forgotten

Stag rear drive flanges are bored out to suit the Sprint halfshaft's,
Not a DIY job you will need a really good Machine Shop I know of one  .
Meaning you only have to redrill the Sprint brake drum to suit the new Stag PCD..
FRONT You also dont need to turn the hub down on the outer edge as the photo shown's only needed when using Jag caliper's

Depend's how wide the spacer's are.

There's not much room between the Stag wheel and tyre (185/60X14) and the arch even without spacer's and with the arch lip rolled over  .
