I posted on the old board regarding a potential solution to the ubiquitous beige back seat problem (can't find the thread in archive) based on the blankets my 81 year old Mother crochets for charitable causes; she made a nice brooklands green one for Susie's 1850 to protect the good seat she has from the perrenial sun damage which set us thinking; as well as protectig a good seat they will also cover up a poor seat.
The blankets basically take about £5 worth of yarn, most of which Mum gets given (its all new). White ones go for baby shawls for premature babies etc, but she gets given darker colours too. Potential Dolomite blankets currently made are as shown in the attached links.
If anyone wants one for a totally voluntary consideration inclusive of postage (about £2.00 to post) let me know. ALL proceeds will go to charities such as cancer care, premature babies, woodland trust, Christian Aid etc. Feel free to nominate (inclusively or exclusively) depending on your own preferences/beliefs...
