LT77 should fit in a late 1850 easier than a Sprint as the splines on the input shaft are the same as a TR7 as is the clutch plate, therefore less to change.

Why though? We've been through pro's & cons of to do or not to do this swap before.

I suppose if you have an LT77 in your garage, it's a much more attractive proposition that a sprint O/D box you don't have...

Are you trying to get me back from being catty with Jonners?

Yer why... as theres lots of bolts holding engines to gear boxes, I'd have to split the tr7 one from the lt77, then the dolly 7 from the 4 speed, then put the tr7 back on the 4 speed... That is the only reason

Catty Adam? Surely not...just your normal humorous banter...

Like I often say, while we may rib you and therefiore get some back, we never forget that guys like you are the future....

So go for it if you want to....we'll all watch and have a laugh...

So who hanst got a spare Sprint box then? Cheaper and better if you ask me...

the prop flange is the same....cant say much about the length though.

Jonners

4 sp o/d is far more fun - was good enough for the stag and tr5/6

So you welded up that tr7 yet?

You know a guy called Gareth in Doncaster? Think you maybe bro's
